Foundation YearConstruction & Opening
Construction commenced March 8, 2024 and concluded on June 15, 2024 — a 3-month build delivering a state-of-the-art 345 sq m rehabilitation facility at Robinsons Metro East, Pasig.
Multidisciplinary Team Built
By year-end, SCEI assembled 43+ professionals across 9 disciplines — OT, PT, SLP, SPED, Medical, Psychology, Orthosis & Prosthesis, and support staff — setting the standard for comprehensive care.
97.23% Overall Performance
Despite being in its first year, the clinic achieved 97.23% of projected targets. Occupational Therapy exceeded projections by +24.75%, while O&P services added unplanned revenue.

Team Composition & ChartsBy the close of 2024, Sandbox Clinic East had assembled a robust and diverse multidisciplinary team across clinical, medical, and administrative functions — reflecting its commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Leveraging the robust health network established by Sandbox BGC, the East branch recruited physicians across a variety of specialized fields, enabling comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Initial Onboarding: The onboarding of the HR department took place on June 4, 2024, designed to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. The program focused on familiarizing new hires with the clinic's mission, values, policies, and operational procedures, while fostering a sense of belonging within the team.

2024 ResultsIn 2024, Sandbox Clinic East demonstrated commendable performance across multiple departments, achieving 97.23% of the projected target. Below is a detailed assessment of each department's performance, accomplishments, and challenges.

OT Services
+24.75%The OT Department exceeded expectations, surpassing projections by +24.75%. This outstanding performance reflects the department's effectiveness in meeting client demands and leveraging its reputation. Continued focus on service quality and partnerships will sustain this momentum.
PT Services
80.63%The PT Department achieved 80.63% of its target. This solid performance was supported by the availability of advanced equipment, which enhanced marketing efforts and attracted clients. The ongoing accreditation process with several HMOs is expected to further bolster sales once finalized.
SLP Services
38.05%Revenue achieved 38.05% of projection, primarily due to the limited pool of available SLPs (few schools offer speech therapy programs nationwide). The recent licensure exam in November 2024 and forthcoming oath-taking in January 2025 restricted new hiring. An increase in recruitment is anticipated in 2025.
SPED Department
38.45%SPED Services generated 38.45% of target, reflecting lower demand in the clinic's area. Services were restructured to better align with local demand. The proposed budgeted income statement for 2025 already reflects the revised sales expectations from this department.
Medical Services
The successful recruitment of several developmental pediatricians significantly enhanced service offerings and boosted sales. The inclusion of registered psychologists shortly after clinic operations commenced further strengthened the department's capacity to meet client needs, contributing positively to overall revenue.
O&P Services
Initially unplanned, Orthosis and Prosthesis Services were introduced to diversify the clinic's offerings and complement existing services, particularly for pediatric physical therapy patients. Despite being a new addition, this service contributed significantly in revenue, showcasing its potential to enhance overall sales and service integration.
Recruitment & Visibility
Talent Acquisition 2024Recruitment initiatives in 2024 underscored the clinic's efforts to attract top talent and strengthen ties with the healthcare professional community, supporting both growth and excellence in patient care.
Leveraging the robust health network previously established by Sandbox BGC, the East branch successfully expanded its multidisciplinary team by recruiting physicians from a variety of specialized fields. This strategic integration of expertise enabled the clinic to assemble a distinguished roster including specialists in rehabilitation medicine, orthopedic medicine, internal medicine, and developmental pediatrics.
The inclusion of diverse medical disciplines enhances the clinic's ability to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and ensures patients receive tailored treatment plans — further solidifying SCEI's reputation for excellence.

The first board meeting provided an early opportunity to review the clinic's establishment progress, assess initial operational performance since the June 15 opening plans, and set strategic priorities for the second half of 2024. The board reinforced its commitment to excellence and forward-looking direction for the newly opened facility.
